Early on Wednesday morning, officials say that a sticky note with a written message threatening to blow up the Waldorf school was discovered on an outside wall of the building.

Administrators and the School Resource Officer assigned to the building were able to identify a student as a possible suspect.

His family and Charles County Department of Juvenile Services were both alerted to the incident, though no information about possible discipline was announced by the sheriff's office.

The investigation is ongoing.
